He has also held the United States and the Tag Team Championships, making him a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. The former World Champion made his return to the company a couple of months ago, formally becoming a part of the SmackDown brand.
While he has been wrestling in WWE for over a decade, there’s still a lot of things about him that fans aren’t aware of. With that being said, here are five things you may or may not know about Sheamus.
#5. He was a choir boy and bodyguard for U2
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Sheamus had a pretty interesting childhood. He attended Scoil Caoimhin Primary and Coláiste Mhuire Secondary School where he sang in the Palestrina Choir until he was 13 years old.
The Celtic Warrior’s first taste of the entertainment industry was an appearance on the Late Late Toy Show as part of the choir. This helped him gain confidence in performing in front of cameras and large audiences.
He also worked as a bodyguard for Irish rockstars Larry Mullen and Bono of U2. In an interview, the 2015 WWE King of the Ring stated:

Before most WWE wrestlers became the Superstars that we know of today, they too worked regular jobs just like most of us. After all, everyone has to start somewhere, right?
Becky Lynch was a flight attendant, Kevin Owens worked in a gas station, John Cena was a limousine driver and Sheamus was an IT technician. Yes, you heard that right. He worked for several different IT companies such as Symantec and Hartford Life in Dublin from 1999 to 2007.

Sheamus worked as a security guard and bodyguard before wrestling for WWE, and when he finally made it to the company, he got a job as a security guard once again.
The Celtic Warrior not only served as a bodyguard for celebrities, but he was also a security guard for wrestling events, which he revealed in an interview:
The Irishman ultimately suffered a pedigree by The Game Triple H, a man he went on to face at WrestleMania 26. Even though fans remember his appearance in ECW as his WWE debut, Sheamus showed up on television 3 years before that.
Sheamus appeared with Wade Barrett on an episode of Monday Night RAW on 13 November 2006 as members of the security team who were hired to deal with D-Generation X.
#2. The actress he wants as a leading lady in a WWE film
Sheamus has worked many jobs throughout his life before joining WWE. From being an IT technician, bodyguard, security guard, and finally a wrestler, the former WWE Champion also had a hand in acting. He has appeared in various movies such as The Escapist, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and The Buddy Games, among others.
In an exclusive interview with Hollywoodlife.com, Sheamus was asked who he would want as a leading lady on screen in a future WWE film. He revealed that the person would be none other than the Zombieland actress Emma Stone.
#1. Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart kickstarted his career
Growing up, Sheamus was always a huge fan of professional wrestling, especially WWE. After he finished college, he decided to try his hand in wrestling. Unfortunately for him though, he never actually knew how to break into the business in the first place, until he encountered one of the WWE Superstars he grew up watching on TV.
Sheamus met WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart in a pub in Ireland, and he approached the latter to ask him for some advice. The Hitman sent Sheamus to train in Larry Sharpe’s Monster Factory wrestling school in 2002.
He took Hart’s advice, and he went on to become a big star in WWE. The Celtic Warrior cites his meeting with Bret as the moment that forever changed his life.
